Ophthalmologist 

Ophthalmologist are doctors who treat diseases and illnesses that affect the eye. Some of their duties may include: 

• May perform eye surgery 
• Remove cataracts  
• Can be specialized in the following areas( external eye diseases, ophthalmic plastic surgery, and etc.) 

There are many other things that they do but the ones listed are their typical duties, along with seeing patients and making a diagnosis. 

Salary: $197,700 

Education: They need at least three years of undergraduate education. They also need four years of medical training. You must also receive your residency and this takes about a year of a full internship. After receiving the residency you can take more time to receive a subspecialty.
