There was once this boy who’s name was Chris Paul. He would play basketball for West Forsyth. His grandfather would always go to his games. A day after  he got a full basketball scholarship for Wake Forest University, his grandfather, Wesley Jones  was murdered. He couldn’t believe it, he was shocked.  In memory of his grandfather he made a goal to score 61 points in one of his games. At first he thought it wasn’t possible but then he worked hard. He then realized that everything is possible as long as you work hard for it. So in one game Chris Paul scored 61 points. He couldn’t believe it he was so happy and so was his mom.

Fashion designer

A fashion designer is a person who is dedicated to creating new and amazing clothes designs.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Create new apparel designs
• You can focus on any of the three main areas which are : clothes, footwear, and accessories.
• In charge of the design process and steps.This may include the start all the way to the finishing point when it goes up into marketing.
• Keeping up with the fashion trend to make your design prevail.
• Having a certain budget on materials
• Being a supervisor and working with other people, so you’ll need good communication skills.

Salary: A fashion designer gets paid $62,860 annually.

Education:

If you want to be a fashion designer you must have an undergraduate degree in fashion designing. If you want to own your own business than it’s suggested that you take a combined course of marketing and fashion designing, so that you can run your own business.You may also want to take internships before starting your own real business for the experience. It is recommended that you go to a school designed for the art of fashion.

Demand or need for this profession: This job is said to grow 3 % from 2014 to 2024.

Reflection: I would actually like to be a fashion designer but not as my main profession. I would like to be a fashion designer because i like how they use their creativity to come up with something new. It fascinates me on the idea of how something can just be a thought and then an actual thing. I like this career a lot because it talks about self expression and that is what i'm all about. So i’ll probably look into this job more.

Everybody has goals that we like to accomplish...right. So in order to accomplish these goals we must set them for ourselves and push towards it. In other words if you want to accomplish your goal you must set your ming to it and strive for the best. what i think Mr.Hansen is trying to tell us is that all our goals can be accomplished if we set them and we work towards reaching them. It's helpful to set a goal because if you don't set it it doesn't become offical to you. Yes we all come with goal but after a while those that weren't firmly set drift away from our minds. What we must do is set our goals, think about them, plan them, and await their arrival.If we don't do such things then we may not take it as seriously and sometimes we may loose all our hopes. I like to connect this with a quote i heard before yet i don't know where it came from "what's now our goals, will later be our dreams". In other words if we don't set our goals today we may never accomplish them and may think they were all just one of  our unreachable dreams.so follow Mr. Hansen's words and set your goals so that you can accomplish them.
Example: Ihave set myself many goals before. Some goals i hardly remember what they were. Some goals slowly drifted apart and some became too hard that i lost hope. I'm trying Mr. Hansen's method and i have many goals in which i see everyday and i work towards them to accomplish them.

                                  Pediatrician

As a pediatrician you provide medical attention to the people from a certain age group. This age group is from the newborns to the young adults.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Must be able to diagnose a patient based on auditory and visual indicators. This is because some of the patients like babies and toddlers can't yet explain what hurts.
• They must be prepare to work around 60 hours a week.
• They must be able to track and indicate when a patient needs a immunization.
• Have good communication skills with both parent and patient.
• They must be able to explain treatment and treatment plan.
• They must help the patient if they have an assuage fear to help them get over it.
• Provide prescriptions to patients with the right amount and the right type.

Salary: Pediatrician earns about 173,000 a year.

Education :

• You must earn a bachelor’s degree.
• You must graduate from medical school.This takes four years.
• You must earn a license.
• You must also complete a pediatric residency.
• Last but not least this is optional, you must consider if you want to earn a board certification.

Demand for this profession: This job is said to grow 18 % from 2010 to 2022.

Reflection : I chose to research this medical profession for a reason. That reason is that i want to become a pediatrician when i grow up. This medical profession is going to be my main career because i want to help people. I like this job and i want to do this for a living. It has always been a part of my plan. My goal is to become one of the best pediatricians in the world.
