“ Enthusiasm makes the difference.” Dr. Norman Vincent Peale
This quote is all about how one thing can change everything. That is the way you view things and how you decided to take it in. If you’re always gloomy then things may seem worse that they really are. The thing that we need to start doing is change from gloomy to pure enthusiasm. With enthusiasm there is a better chance of things coming out with something great. In other words what i get from this quote is that the missing thing that we lack is enthusiasm. We are sometimes too hard on ourselves when we should really be believing that we can do it. The same thing goes for school, if you there without having or wanting to be there then you probably won’t pay attention. You have to learn how to live with enthusiasm because without it we seem to give up.  An example of this would be tigger vs. eeyore. Tigger is always full of enthusiasm because of this he never gives up and he always pushes his friends to do better. On the other hand eeyore is always doubting himself and thinking negative, all he does is isolate himself from the good things. With this being said you can now choose would you like to be a tigger or eeyore.

“I wasn’t trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what was right.” Dean Smith
Today i learned how striving for something else can lead take you to other places. What i mean about striving is to aim for something, something that will benefit others and not just yourself. I learned that being a caring person has it’s rewards but those rewards shouldn’t matter that much to you. The true reward is knowing that by choosing the right you did something for other people and now they are doing things for other people. Dean Smith taught me to care for other people other than yourself because that’s another way that you can better your character and another way that will make the world a better place. If you are kind and caring people will pick up on because that’s what people need, they need an example. By being kind you might leave a legacy or a good reputation of yourself, you should be proud of yourself but more proud about others because they too are choosing the right. Choosing the right has always a way of showing up. If you were to think of it only good things happen when choose the right .why is that? Well maybe it’s because when you choose the right you make the right choices and that’s the key to living a better life, of making a legacy without an intention. An example of all this would be our honored man Dean Smith. He taught the right principles to his students and he never asked for to much he just did the right thing and was proud of it. He got recognized for it but that wasn’t the real goal it was extra. THis helped me learn to be king because that is choosing the right.

“ It’s not about how to achieve your dreams. It’s about how to lead your life. If you lead your life the right way, the karma ( good results, destiny, fortune, good luck) will take care of itself. The dreams will come to you.” Dr. Randy Pausch
When they ask you what the benefits of choosing the right may be, well this is the answer. Choosing the right will make your life easier because the only thing you will get in return are good things. Now wouldn’t that be nice! Sometimes we think on revenge or just receiving and not giving. That is not how karma works, you have to be good and do the right thing no matter how hard it gets that’s how karma is testing you. You have to show karma that you’re ready because all you do has been done rightly. There are many obstacles in life and sometimes the right thing isn’t the first thing that comes into our mind but if we practice this habit we can get use to it. We all have a life and we get to choose on how to live it by making the right decisions you're on the right direction. An example would be how Emily is always choosing the right and good things happen to her. She’s a very sweet and happy child. As you can see because she does the right thing she’s living a great life. I admire her.

“ make your passion your profession “
My passion is getting creative and finding or discovering something that looks great. I like to play with colors and any materials one could possibly find. I like this because it lets me express myself in a way that no one could understand but me. I can make my passion become a profession by starting a business maybe, where people can come and get creative there self. Or i can find a profession that requires creativity and designing things. Education that is required for this is to finish highschool and if i’m going to start a business then take college courses on that subject for a degree in it. The education requirements may vary because there are many jobs that require you to creative...like a fashion designer. Some skills that are required is for you to have an open mind. Make up new patterns because sometimes they get old. Most important use your imagination because that’s where all the ideas come from.
Another word of advice have a backup plan because who knows if it’s going to work. I have to be positive that things will work out and always try.

Reflection:  In order to make my passion a profession i am willing to do everything. I probably will work hard to earn the money need to start it but once it’s has began there is no stopping my passion. I like to tell people out there to follow there dreams even though they may seem out of reach you can do it.

“ Of all the work that is done or that can be done for our country, the greatest is that of educating the body, the mind, and above all the character, giving spiritual and moral training to those who in a few years are themselves to decide the destinies of the nation.” Theodore Roosevelt
What this quote means to me is that in a few years we will have to make life impacting choices and in order to prepare for that we must educate ourselves in being the best that we can be. In other words we need to start thinking how our actions can have an effect on not only our lives but of the lives of people who didn’t have a choice to choose. Whatever we do today can affect us tomorrow or in some future time period. I know that it’s hard growing up and sometimes choosing is just so stressful...but we need to start today for a better tomorrow. The real question is how, how do we do this? Well we may all have a different idea of what to do and that’s great . The most important part is that you take action in educating that part of you that still needs work on. When i look at this quote the thing that makes it stand out isn’t it’s length but the choice of words that were used here. An example of this would be, take me for example i still need to train myself to better even though i’m a good person, to me that’s not enough. I say this because if we settle for little we will continue this until we settle for almost nothing. If we were to do this just imagine how our life would change for not pushing our limits...all the great things will cease to exist. So let’s make Theodore Roosevelt proud.

“ Take responsibility for your own body, mind, and spirit, for your own physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.”MR. C. S. HAYMORE
THIS QUOTE REMINDS ME OF THAT ONE QUOTE OR SAYING TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS. IT HAS A SIMILAR CONCEPT TO THE TRUE MEANING OR TO WHAT IT MEANS TO ME. IN ORDER TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT YOU MUST THINK BEFORE YOU ACT BECAUSE SOMETIMES YOUR ACTIONS MAY BRING NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES. I CAN TIE THIS ALL IN WITH CHOOSING THE RIGHT. FOR EXAMPLE IF YOU DON’T LISTEN TO YOUR MOM AND YOU FORGET TO WEAR A SWEATER WHEN IT’S RAINING THEN THERE IS CHANCE YOU MIGHT GET SICK . IF YOU GET SICK THEN YOUR BODY , MIND, AND SPIRIT WON’T BE IN A WELL-BEING STATE. AS YOU CAN SEE ALL OF THIS CIRCLES AROUND THE ACTIONS YOU MAKE AND WHETHER YOU DECIDED TO DO THE RIGHT THING. TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT OR TO MAKE THE RIGHT DECISIONS YOU HAVE TO THINK ABOUT...THINK ABOUT YOU OPTIONS AND THE CONSEQUENCES ONE LITTLE THING CAN DO TO THE  WHOLE EQUATION. I KNOW THAT SOMETIMES WE OVERTHINK SOME THINGS AND I’M NOT TELLING YOU TO DO THAT  BECAUSE THAT TOO CAN AFFECT OUR CHOICE. WHAT I GOT OUT OF THIS QUOTE WAS THAT IF WE WANT BALANCE AND THINGS TO COME OUT RIGHT WE HAVE TO THINK ABOUT WHAT WE DO. YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG WITH THINKING ABOUT THINGS.

“Intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education.”- Dr. Martin Luther King
Intelligence...the thing that many people strive for because they think that it’s the only thing we’re missing. I thought the same, for a long time but i was half right. You see as a person you're expected to be able to multi task through your whole day without a problem. You are suppose to be able to have more than one talent because that is what’s expected. This quote is just another reminder that if you think you have everything solved you don’t. Yes you might be a very intelligent person but maybe you as a person doesn’t have that character people seek. You can be as successful if you don’t have a balance between your character and your intelligence. Character may be one of the hardest things to master in my perspective because you have to act a certain way and somedays you just may slip. It’s challenging to try and make everything fit...but you can do it. All you have to do is try, try hard. You can never go wrong with trying and little by little you will reach that balance. Once you do you will be able to accomplish anything. We need good character for example to get around, to make new friends, to be able to communicate. We need intelligence for example to be able solve problems, to think outside the box because that’s where most of the brilliant ideas were invented.

Education: This career is required at least a bachelor’s degree but in other places a higher degree may be asked for. In order to start your path on this new adventure you must first find out what it’s about. So the first thing people do is research this career to get familiar with the job. Then you must decide what type of kinesiologist you would like to be. It’s recommended to go to a college that has more than one program on the kinesiologist category so you're not that limited. Your bachelor’s degree can be on the actual kinesiologist career or on exercise science. For exercise science you course will be consisting of biomechanics, Physiology, and anatomy.

“ we need the courage to start and continue what we should do, and the courage to stop what we shouldn’t do.”
What does courage mean...it may have different meanings to different people but the same concept. Courage is the ability to  do something that frightens one. If you're searching for courage well the only place you can find it is in yourself. You must search within you to find the strength to face the things you fear. This quote tells me that in order to do what’s right we must be able to face our fears first. In other terms we can't do the right thing if we don’t have the courage to do it. For example standing up to a bully but you may have the fear that your life will become worse than better. You must overcome that fear by facing that bully. Just think that if you don't stand up for yourself your life is still bad. With this same courage we must resist temptation in doing the bad.

Winter break
My winter break was better than i expected it to be. I had a lot of fun and i visited many places. For the first two weeks i volunteered at St. Francis in the Family Life Center department. It was nice to get to know the nurses a little more and to get comfortable with that area. I often made new friends… some that were even in college. They are all very unique persons. I also learned that i'm the youngest one there compared to all the other helpers. Overall it was a nice but tiring experience and i can't wait to go back. The last week of winter break i decided to take a break from volunteering and decided to relax. I went shopping, i spend some quality time with my family, and i got to try new things.  One day that i remember being the funnest was christmas eve. My Auntie came , my grandma came, and my uncle came. It was something different from the previous years but it was a day to remember. That day we ate all types of food my favorites were the flan and the pizza.  I was happy to receive the gifts that i got and the smiles i bought on to my family members faces. The last event that was out of this world was the fifteen of one of my old friends. I got the chance to see them again and this time it was fun. I enjoyed that night because i got to catch up with them and be a part of a big moment like this one. Overall it was good to have a little break from all the work but now that i'm here it feels good to be back.
