Medical illustrator
A medical illustrator is a professional who draws with advanced
Education in the two following areas: life science and visual communications.’
There are four main areas that they work on , clinical photography, graphic design, medical art, and videography.Some of their Duties and Responsibilities may include:
  • Do pamphlets
  • Posters
  • Websites
  • Taking pictures of a patient ( the part that is infected) and processing the images.
  • Take 3-D imaging on the structure or part of the body
  • Use computers to download or edit images
  • Produce artwork for a specific subject.
  • Plan the design of your work.’
There are many other things that a medical illustrator may do that involves drawing or getting creative.
Salary:  The annual salary is from 62,000 to 100,000 depending on your rank or position.
Education: For this career the following is required, at least a master’s degree.  You must also be good at drawing, being creative, and having interpersonal / visual skills. You don’t have to get certified. Before getting your master’s degree you must get a bachelor’s degree. Your focus can be on biology or chemistry. It’s also okay for you to major in the fine arts. For the master’s degree you must take a program that is accredit. Some classes that you will take are human anatomy, medical methods, sketching procedures or etc.
Demand or need for this profession: This job is said to grow 4% from 2012 to 2022 .

Reflection: this job does interest me because it involves drawing and being creative. I would think about a little more because the thing that your drawing are a bit too intense. Overall i think that it’s a great job and it might be my second choice in the future.
