Last student success statement:
“You will go far with CTR”-Mr. Haymore
What this success statement means to me is that if you decide to become a CTR person 24/7 then there will be no limits in the long run. Many people think that when you do what’s right versus what’s wrong, even if you don’t want to, it takes away your freedom and independence. They are wrong because choosing the right prevents you from going down that bumpy path where most people fall and never get back up. I have learned that not everything in life is going to go your way but the least you can do is make the right choices so that it would go the right way. I have also learned that when you really try to do something it will happen but you just have to be patient. It’s all about hard work and dedication. Not only that but you must be prepared to do what’s right in any time given. It’s like you’re a superhero and your power is the ability to choose the right. In conclusion this year I have talked about how choosing the right can benefit you and how it’s one of the choices you have because you always have choices. I also learned that we must value what we are being taught because if a person tells you something it’s for a reason. In other words they learned the hard way why not to do certain things. For example if your parent tells you to take advantage of your education, do it because they would love to get a second chance to fix that problem. So when your teacher tells you to choose the right you just do it because they want the best for you. So always remember to be a CTR person and choose the right 24/7.

Class evaluation:

Somethings that I liked about this class were the life lessons we would receive about the choices that we have and what we can do for others. It was like not only were we learning computer skills but we were learning skills that will help us in life. These skills have taught  me how to cope with negative pressure and has showed me that there are things that you can do other than the wrong. I also liked the projects that we would do in this class. It was very fun to interact with other people and discuss with them on their point of view on the topic. The topics would vary from homecoming to valentine’s day. Not only did i learn new things about these holidays but they would excite me more for that day. One very valuable lesson that i learn was about forgiveness. How you must forgive the people that have hurt you in order to heal. I now enforce that lesson to my life by forgiving those people that have hurt me. Lastly this year I have heard the term Choose the Right a lot of times. And it just a reminder of how you should behave and I think that making the commitment to choose the right has changed me as a person.

There was not really much things that I didn’t like about this class except for maybe this one thing. Throughout the year we did success statements and I would have love if there were more by girls. In other words we did write about what women had to say but it was only twice this whole year. I’m not saying that what the men had to say wasn’t good but I would have like more diversity in the success statements. Other than that this class was great.

Some things that can be done to improve this class would be probaBly having an agenda somewhere in the room telling the students what they are going to do just so that they are aware. Maybe giving small reminders like don’t forget to bring your goal’s journal next class or something like that. Other than that this class doesn’t need improvements.

A highlight for me in this class was that I got to express myself every once in awhile with the assignments. Like when we got to choose what we wanted to write about. Or when we had a chance to look up a career of our choice. Also being complimented by the teacher. It was also nice that everytime when i came in here I was greeted with a big smile by the teacher.

I think that over this school year I tried my best in the work that I did. When I do an assignment I always put in all my effort into doing it. Somethings that I needed to work on during this school year was always having my goals journal and taking care of my CTR class. I lost 1 and I gave 1 away to someone who needed to know what choose the right meant. So i think that I did a good deed there but losing it was like choosing the wrong. I really regret losing it but I was honest about it and I got a new one.

Yes i do read my goals journal everyday for at least 10 minutes or more. I just don’t have a specific time of when I read it. Sometimes I read it before I go to bed or sometimes when I come home from school. I just like seeing the things that I have accomplished over the year and I feel so proud of myself.

Yes I’m committed to being a ctr person because I have learned that choosing the right brings you good things. Not only that but it makes the person feel good about themselves.I also learned that when you choose the right you can bring peace to yourself then to the people around you and so forth. Until you eventually have world peace and this is something that I’m working for. I believe that it’s possible and believing and trying are the first steps.

The Ultimate choice is to be a CTR person-to always CHOOSE THE RIGHT 24/7!!!-Mr.Haymore
During this school year I learned many valuable life lessons and some very unique advice. This teacher has taught me about the good choices that we can make in life. He has showed us that there is good in everyone you just have to embrace it. Something that I have learned is that we always have choices or a say in what happens in our life. In other words we get to choose if we want to be good or bad and how that choice is going to impact what are future becomes and what we are shaped into. The beauty of choosing the right is that it has so many benefits and it could never go wrong. You get all you want when you choose the right you just have to wait and be patient for it to happen. Overall I learned and have reflected that it takes a lot of courage to make the right choices and sometimes you good deed may not be noticed but you are somehow rewarded. It’s something that I will never forget and someday because of this choice things will be okay.

Summer Vacation Plans

I chose to write about this topic because I’ve been wondering what I want to do this summer. It’s important for me to be as productive as possible. My plans will consist somewhere between becoming more fit, getting a little education, and most importantly having fun. I’m so excited for this summer because it’s a break that I really have been waiting for. I’m going to celebrate my 15 with my family in mexico and well, I have 11 days to pull it off. This tradition consist of a girl becoming a woman and how she’s entering a new phase. She gets godparents for almost everything and this tradition is also very symbolic. It’s suppose to be magical and one day to remember. I also plan to attend a summer camp after that or attend college classes. I want to do this to have some education but not a lot. I have researched some places where I can take college classes and ELAC seems like a good option. I’m going to try to talk to my counselor to establish this. 1 more week of school and I plan to give it my all and finish strong.

Character
If there is beauty in character,
There will be harmony in home.
If there is harmony in the home,
There will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation,
There will be peace in  the world.
Chinese Proverb
As a child I always wanted peace. A goal of mine was to make world peace a possible thing. This quote gives me hope in my dream. It talks about how we have to work hard to get peace, but you have to start off at the very bottom. We have to start with ourselves and with who we are. If we have peace within and a astounding character then you can move on to the world. This is because if you don’t have the character for peace how can you make others believe in it or want it. An example would be people who talk about peace and how great it is but when they go home at the end of the day they are mad. They start to fight with their family and that doesn’t bring peace. If we want peace we must start with who we are and what we do. Then we continue to the people around us and make them see this too. After that you move on to bigger groups and when people see that it truly is possible they will believe in peace. Not only that but they will put in their everyting to accomplish it.

Student success statement:
“A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder.” Thomas Carlyle
What this quote means to me is that we must know what we want in life. Not just that but where we want to go and who we want to be. Sometimes we become confused with this because our emotions get mixed up with our thoughts. This must not stop us from doing what we want to do. When we have goals or our minds and hearts set on something there is nothing that can change how we feel about reaching and triumphing about it. This is why we must make our goals today so that later everything is clear, crystal clear. Having that mindset of knowing what you’re doing can save you a lot of time. It’s also just a good habit to practice. Overall what i learned today is that we must have our goal etched in our minds and every time we feel like giving up we just remember what we are working so hard for. In conclusion our goals is our future, and maybe they won’t go in order but we will accomplish them as long as they are in our mind.
One of my goals:

Memorial Day weekend
During my memorial day weekend I tried many new things. I went to Ihop for the first time and the food was pretty good. I also went to Albert’s for the first time. I spend some quality time with my family. We went to my sister’s friends birthday party and it was nice to get  out and be a child again. I got a candy bag and ate some cake. I also went shopping for some things that I need for my trip. I didn’t do homework in till yesterday and it was nice sleeping in. My niece Caroline came to visit and it was nice to hold her in my arms. I made some decorations and arrangements for my room. My friend also came over. We talked about how things were going, for example school. We played speed until she left. I had so much fun.Overall it was just good to have a break before the last two weeks of school. It gave me time to reflect and to regain my energy. Now i’m excited to finish strong and shine bright like a star.

“ When a deep injury is done to us, we never recover until we forgive.” Alan Paton
Forgiveness what a magical word/act. It can sometimes be hard to be expressed when it has it truly gives the person closure. We have pride and resentment that may take us away from actually forgiving a person that haos hurt us but aren’t we only hurting ourselves. I say this because if you don’t let an event that brought you so much pain, be gone then you're always going to have that pain with you. I myself, am a hard forgiver. What this means is that for me to forgive a person...will take me a long time to do it and this is bad. I understand what Alan Paton is saying.  An example of this would be if someone made a mean remark about you when they shouldn’t have but they did. They probably didn’t think it hurt because sometimes people speak before they think. It obviously did hurt and you might feel that pain for a little while or a very long time until you forgive that person. You see if you forgive a person then it’s just all there  fault you create a sense of guilt in them. Later on they will apologize and next time they won’t be so mean to you. In conclusion forgiveness is key to being able to “breath”. Or in other words to “take some weight off you chest”. After all forgiving never hurt a person.

“ Dare to do right.” Rex D. Pinegar
We always dare people to do things and sometimes those people dare us to do things. Dares aren’t bad on the contrary they motivate us to get out of our comfort zone.  The only time you should do a dare is when you think it’s okay to do it. In other words if it’s not a dare that would risk your life or have negative consequences in the end. For example a good dare would involve complimenting someone vs. saying mean things to someone. Don’t be afraid of dares because not all of them are bad. If you do a dare to prove yourself to someone, really think about it. In conclusion what I learned today is that you should do what you want to do and only do things that are right. We have to have the strength and courage to be ourselves and follow our hearts no matter if we stand alone or if we feel alone.

“Dare to stand alone.” Thomas S. Monson
What this quote means to me is that whatever the case if you believe in something go for it. Don’t change you’re mind because others may not see what you see or may not want to do what you want to. For example we always see those movies when the protagonist enters high school and he/she is so “uncool”. How all that character wants is
to fit in and be with the crowed. That ‘s the opposite of this quote. If the new kid wants to fit in then he/she should just start a new group with people that have similar interest to he/she. You see what this quote has made me realize is that there are good friends but there are also bad friends out there. At some point the good ones are going to leave but not because they want to. They might come back but it will take a while. So then you make new friends and they seem nice at first . Then they might not like how you dress or if you want to do the right things. Leave them and it may be hard to because you feel lonely. In the end it’s better to be alone than to have bad company or be doing things that you think is wrong.

“If I’ve got correct goals, and if I keep pursuing them the best way I know how , everything else falls into line. If I do the right thing , I’m going to succeed.” Dan Dierdorf
Success, what does it mean. It has many different meanings to many different people. The only thing that we have in common is that we want it, we want it with all our heart. I agree with Dan on how to obtain this thing called success all we can do is work hard and hope. It’s not just working hard but working with effort, and giving it your best. In other words you have to overcome many challenges in order to reach what your idea of success is. This is so that when you finally obtain it you are thankful for what it is and appreciate the road you took. An example of this would be the guy from the movie Tangled. His name was Eugene Fitzherbert also known as Flynn Rider. All he ever wanted was success and he dreamed about it every day but he took the wrong road towards completing this goal. He decided to steal and in the end he change. He became a better person and that was success to himself, being loved and being good. In conclusion follow  your heart and work hard for success.

Student success statement:
Phillip Riggs’ Four success Tips
1. Work hard
2. Follow your passions .
Do things that you are interested in doing.
3. Don’t chase after money.
4. Serve others.
Do good things for others,
and good things will come to you.

Reflection: This success statement has taught me of some things that will help me be successful in life. I agree with what Phillip Riggs is saying. It’s true how they say if you work hard towards something one day it will come. For example, when it comes to education, we are working hard to earn a diploma. We go through usually 12 years of vigorous working and thinking to earn it. If we wouldn’t work hard we would have probably not make it. In other words working hard is not only a good habit but it assures that you accomplish your goal. Another tip was following your passion  and not can be better than that. You do what you like because it will be something that you will be doing for a long time. A lot of people choose jobs based on pay but it’s not what you really want. This goes with his third tips don't chase money chase your heart. Listen to what you want, it may not be a job that pays a lot but it sure may pay enough. His last tip was the one that stood out the most, serve others. I like this one because it reminds you to give back. We should always give back because the world gives so much to us. In conclusion theses tips are something that I will keep and always remember.

The most important thing you will ever have is good values.” Dennis Prager
What this means to me is things come and go and the only thing that truly stays is who you are. Nobody can change you, only you can change if you want to change. I say this because we make the choices we want and that determines our future which shapes us, depending on how we view it. This made me think of how we should value things like who we are, things we have, and the things that we have done. An example of this would be happiness we should learn how to value every moment of it for it is precious. Sometimes it won’t stay and it happen, because that’s just life. I think that the true meaning of this quote is that it’s not just your good values that are important but what you value. It’s like the quote follow your heart because that’s what makes you happy. In this case it’s stick with your values because it represents you. Your values voice you and what you like and believe. In  conclusion because of this quote I have learned not to let anyone change what i think on my values because that a part of me.

Student success statement:
“ In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing.” Theodore roosevelt

What this success statement means to me is that when we have a choice to do something that will impact others it’s best for it to be the right thing . In other words, if you want to be a better person one of the steps you should take is learning when to do the right thing without hesitation. This reminds me of the time when i had to make a tough decision. It was in the summer when I was about 9 years old. My mom had bought my sisters and me something, but it was a surprise, so she told us not to look into the bag . It was so tempting to look but i knew that if i did my mother would be mad. So i waited until she gave it to me. I was proud of myself because i did the right thing. In conclusion, what I learn today is that you always have to make choices. Sometimes it may be hard to do it but doing the right thing is always best.

“Nothing is ever gained in doing what’s wrong.” Wilford Woodruff
What this success statement means to me is that when you do bad things good things never happen. In other words you can't just do a bad thing and expect everyone to praise you for it. When I was small I was taught that if I do bad there are negative consequences. For example if someone were to steal then they would either go to jail or they would get some other punishment. Doing bad things never brings nothing good that is why they are bad. Overall this quote makes me think about how the choices we make will always impact us in some way whether it’s negative or positive. That’s why we should start by practicing choosing the right so that little by little we get better at it. We have good inside of us we just need to learn how to use it. In conclusion this quote has made me reflect on what can happen when someone chooses to do what’s wong. I plan to do good and that will be one of my goals.

“It’s a great moment when someone has character to step up and do the right thing.” Pam Knox
What this makes me think about is that there are many times when we should choose the right and we should take those moments and do what’s right. For example you witness someone committing a crime and there is a person yelling for help. What will you do? Will you simply mind your own business or will you go get help, as fast as you can. The things that you choose to do have an important role to play in your life. If you're that person that would try to get help immediately then congratulations. You just helped a person, you chose the right, and you’re a hero now. On the other hand 8if you’re that other person that didn’t do nothing you might feel a bit bad. So help others and you will feel great.

Student success statement
" I have been asked what I mean by 'word of honor.' I will tell you: Place me behind prison walls-walls of stone ever so high, ever so thick, reaching ever so far into the ground-there is a possibility that in  some way or another I might escape; but stand me on the floor and draw a chalk line around me and have me give my word of honor never to cross it. Can I get out of that circle? No, never! I'd die first." Karl G. Maeser

What this statement means to me is that what you promise and what you say has a lot of power to it. In other words Mr. Maeser is trying to say is that When you give your word to someone they have to be able to take it seriously because your just that trustworthy. This addon to choosing the right because if you always do then you will never lie. If you never lie then people will be able to trust you when you make a promise to them. So what I have learned is that what you say can mean so much to the person you say it to. Also what you say has to be taken seriously by yourself too. Many people depend on  what you say to them, whether it's positive or negative, they will listen to you and if you forget they will remind you. You can't have people remind you of what you told them you were going to do because it should be a goal that you keep somewhere, where you will always see it like you goals journal. In conclusion today I learned how words are powerful and that when someone asks you to promise or give the word of honor they are just hoping that you don't let them down.
