Environmental Health Specialist
A environmental health specialist is in charge of inspecting and ensuring that local, state, and federal laws are followed.
Duties and responsibilities :
- They may assist in staff training
- They work with groups, such as those in the local and national level
- They provide you with the best information about a place
- They investigate food facilities
- They do inspections in different areas. These may include: Restaurants, stores, a community,the water and the land quality and many more.
- They also check things to make sure that they are hazardous.
- They can even order to replace or remove something they don’t like.
Salary: A environmental health specialist can about $53,372.80 to $65,540.80 annually.
Education:
- You must at least obtain a bachelor’s degree.
- You must have information on the following fields: public health, chemistry,biology...and etc.
- If you want to work for the government you must complete a certification course.
- The type of training you get depends on the facilities you’ll inspect or the area of your work.
- You can receive your credentials through (NEHA).
