“ I hated poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and I can change that (poverty). It depends upon how hard I want to work , and I decided that I would change it.” Dr. Ben Carson
Your future and what it turns out to be is all on you. To me this quote makes me think on how choices can impact your life no matter how big or small they are. It’s not only those choices but also the effort you put into it. What Ben Carson wanted to do is ensure that we don’t give up so easily. In other words not because we are poor or of a low income family will we stay like that forever. We have to choose the right and make the right choices for ourselves. An example of this would be deciding to go to college after high school, this would help you by making your future brighter. I learned a lot from this quote but the main thing was if you want to get somewhere you must just work hard. If people tell you that’s impossible, they are lieing to you. I say this because in this life you can change things you decide on whether it’s for a positive or negative effect.  In conclusion don’t let where you come from or what people say about you be the reason why you don’t accomplish your dreams. There is no known limit to those who have a dream or a little bit of an imagination.
