Cosmetologist

A cosmetologist is someone who is specialized in the area of hair and makeup.

Some of their duties may include:

• They must be very organized people.
• Clean and sanitize things like combs and scissors.
• Follow the instructions of the customer when cutting their hair.
• Be able to suggest or advise the customer to use certain products or recommend what could look good for them.
• Schedule appointments
• Must be able to use a variety of tools like razors, tweezers, and wax.
• Shape eyebrows or beards

There are many other jobs that these cosmetologist are responsible for. They are all pretty simple to do just that they need to take their time to master it.

Salary: They get paid between $15,932 to $44,296. This all depends if they work over time and where they work at.

Education: These people usually have a high school diploma or a GED. This can be either a state requirement to become licensed or  a requirement to join the school. You also have to go to a school to be taught on what to do. If you pass then they might give you your associates degree in that subject.

Demand for this particular career: This job is said to grow 13% from 2012 to 2022.

Reflection: This job sounds pretty easy and maybe i would like to be one. I researched this subject because my mom wanted to be one and i wanted to see what it was about. I’m planning to help her complete her dream by telling her what i learned today. This job sounds simple and involves creativity so it might be fit for me.
