Optometrist
An optometrist is a person who practices optometry. An optometry is when they exam the eyes to see if there are any visual effects. Some of their duties may include:
  • Do test on your vision and evaluate the results
  • Tell you if you have a eye problem
  • Prescribe glasses with the right dose
  • Prescribe medication such as eye drops
  • They can also provide treatment such as vision therapy
  • They also check patients that have diseases such as diabetes
There are many other things that an optometrist does listed above are just a few.
Salary: The median annual pay for an optometrist is about $103,900.
Education: Here are the steps you can take to become a optometrist. You first need to complete a four year program and earn your Bachelor's degree. Then you need to apply to a Optometry program which is really hard to get into.  Once your in they take about another 4 years to complete. After that you must meet the requirement for licensing and practicing. This may vary depending on where you live.
Demand or need for this profession: This job is said to grow 27% faster from 2014 to 2024.

Reflection: I would not like to be one because it doesn’t really intrest me. I want to help people but not just in one area. I want to be able to help people in all sorts of things. So this is why I don’t want to be one.
